More than a decade after the Last Ronin defeated the Foot Clan, New York City finds itself in a state of steady decline. Now, the disparate gangs vie for economic and political control and that the chaos is taking its toll. It’s clear to Casey Marie that if something isn’t done soon, the city she knows and loves will be lost forever.

So, whether they’re ready or not, she and her young pupils must raise a new coalition and lead the charge to keep the peace. Witness the rise of the next generation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as they fight to restore peace to the streets they live below!

Co-written by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz, drawn by Issac and Esau Escorza and Ben Bishop, colored by Luis Antonio Delgado, and lettered by Shawn Lee.

A good time jump for the series, and this issue gives us a look at the world it is now.

It’s choc full of good action, with some good fight sequences. I especially like the one at the end of the issue, which leads nicely into the hook for the story.

Meanwhile, we get a bit of storytime with the turtles, giving us a rundown of what came before. This method is well done, with a refresher for older readers and something for new readers to get into. This process also gives us an insight into the new turtles' personalities and their motivations. Their run through the city afterwards was excellent and the artwork is brilliant.

Thrust into the fray, we get the Turtles first action in anger, and I love how their training kicks in and there is some excellent viewpoints in the comic.

That leads us well into the finale, and I must confess that I did go back to re-read to see if I missed something, and that just made the mystery deeper, which is an excellent hook for the next issue.

The Strange Case Of 'Tales From The Quarantine'
On the darker side of crowdfunders though, some will know that some projects will fall through.
