This was not a cut-and-dry team-up. Two very entertaining characters, both with their own ideas of right and wrong, but from the off, you can see that something is skewed.
In this case, it’s Britney “Red Agent” Waters. Lost since her friend's ‘death,’ she is looking for a way to get her back—and that means burning some bridges on the way.
The saying about the road to Hell is very apt here. You can see that Britney is hurting and wants Avril back, but the way she is going about it is going to put Robyn and possibly more in danger.
Robyn is properly shanghaied into this adventure, and she does her best—even disguising herself as a Nun to get to the artefact that will help Britney. It helps that she doesn’t always work on the side of the law and can improvise well. There is some excellent action where she is involved - including rooftop diving and lots of arrows.
As the story progresses, we can see how unhinged Britney is getting over it all, and it is clouding her judgement. The transformation for her is excellent, and it ups the ante in the fight with the mysterious foe.
Some more on them: where do they stand? They seem to have some agreement with Britney’s (former) employers, and I wonder what reaction they will have in the future.
This was a good issue, keeping Red Agent in the eye more than Robyn (and she needs it more) as well as possibly setting up some stories for the future.
