Gridley returns from Funcertainty Box with this third issue, it’s out now!
Check out my previous looks at this series:
Giles's vampirism has awoken.
As a new vampire in Talvit City, the awakening of his curse has not gone unnoticed by a powerful group that operates in the shadows - the Alarie Family.
Giles is soon introduced to the seedy world of Talvit City's vampire power players in the worst way possible.

Things are not going well for Giles. Not only has his vampiric urges been awakened, but as a result of this, he is now the victim of a shakedown. It leaves him in a difficult position, as he can either pay or undertake a ‘simple’ task.
Of course, things are not that simple.
Giles continues to be an interesting character. He is grumpy because of what he has been saddled with, but he is pretty good at what he does! I like how he releases this, and the addition of his apprentice makes him a more rounded character. This issue combines some excellent character moments, building the world in which he lives and adding some new dimensions.
I like the use of the vampire clans; there appears to be more to them to learn—and this masked messenger, too.
The addition of new locations adds to the mythos being built here, and I like the use of magic and different styles.
The artwork continues to be excellent - Giles’ looks of range and despair are excellent, and the colouring of this western style, along with magic, make this a pleasure for the eyes.
