Fresh from the romps with the TMNT, we move back to the city and get some reasoning as to why they are under attack.
Yes, The Foot are involved in this political move, with the ninjas being used as footsoldiers for both Karai and Hale.
In this issue we get a combination on the story of now as Hale uses the Foot as his own militia to get what he wants, along with the background of how he was when he was younger and what drives him growing up. This culminates well into how his association with The Foot comes about.
It’s not all on him, although he is a deeply unpleasent individual, Karai uses him well, and her manipulation of him is especially clever. I like how this all comes about, using Hale’s personal tradigy to get him to do what she wants.
This issue combines some excellent art and action, with some clever storytelling, and I love some of the little glints in some characters eyes (Karai’s especially) and how the framing is used.
That leads us to the end of the issue and there is something big happening which will cause ripples throughout the story and I look forward to seeing how this pans out.
