Tales From The Quarantine - No Books, No Accountability
Frazer Brown and/or Red Cabin Comics have some questions to answer.
It has been a little under a year since the ‘digital’ version of the much-delayed and lambasted Tales From The Quarantine comic was released, and also when I was issued a refund after my questioning if the book existed.
There are still questions to be answered about where the book is and what has happened to all the money raised, not only on Kickstarter but also on BackerKit.
Previously:
Way back in December 2022, Frazer Brown announced that just under 160 books had been sent out. Now, he follows up, citing a cyberattack on the UK Post Office that may cause delays or prevent some books from being received.
But.
Out of those 160 books that had been ‘sent,’ not one social media post - Twitter(X), Instagram, Facebook, BlueSky, Hive, etc.- has shown a photo of the book arriving in the post.
Not one.
Now, colour me suspicious, but I’m not entirely sure that the books were sent.

Since then, we have had silence regarding updates on the books. While Frazer Brown has been happy to post April Fool’s posts on new books on Instagram, combined with videos of him wandering the British countryside, posting about releasing a short operetta and 'building towards his next West end project' on TikTok, there has been nothing about sending out or answering questions on Tales From The Quarantine.
Then we got an update:1
First things first. I don’t wish ill health on anyone, and the effects of which that may impact p’s lives.
But…
First up, I thought there was a Red Cabin Comics team. Michelle et al? Can they not pick up on posting books?
Also, how does this ill health relate to trips to the theatre, new projects, and walks around the countryside posted on TikTok?
This shouldn’t have impacted the books (~160) sent in December 2022.
Then, onto the next. Legal threats against those who have been smearing him and the project? There is an effortless way to prove all the doubters wrong about the book—show us the book! Frazer Brown, Red Cabin Comics, the backers, or the contributors have not provided pictures or videos of the finished book. (More on them later.)
Also, are the legal aspects impacting charities and net profits? Is he implying that the money will now be less because he is having to pay legal fees? 2
75% of completion? As I stated when I first read this, 75% of zero is still zero. This means nothing
Our cover artists received their physical copies in January 2023.
None that I have seen, and I’m pretty sure at least one of them would have posted about it.
This continues to be a nightmare for those who backed it and the creative community who submitted work. There is a good three-part round-up from the fantastic Broken Frontier here:
And I would recommend keeping up with the comments made by those who are still down as backers on Kickstarter here:
Frazer Brown and Red Cabin Comics have continued to post on various social media networks. Making out as if there is a big book that broke all kinds of records. They never allow comments and have yet to formally respond to the questions being asked about this book.
Until the next update!
I didn’t, as I was refunded and blocked from seeing this. People were kind enough to post it elsewhere, though.
Of course, if his case is so iron-clad, then he should have no problem getting the money back.
