Surprise! Just as I was about to lose all hope, my old friend and comic genius Albert Monteys sneakily dropped on me the 48 pages of his newest storytelling feat. And I'm choosing my words carefully as you'll all discover when you finish reading this comic masterpiece. It's been a long wait as Albert seemed hellbent on taking away my title as slowest artist alive, but unlike myself this time it was definitely worth it!
So let us welcome you to Kepler-36, where life is not easy but order, harmony and well rounded character arcs prevail. And get ready to find out how to tell a good story and why it's not a good idea to step on a green hag!
This 48-page comic is available now at panelsyndicate.com in English, Spanish and Catalan for whatever price you want to pay, including 0 (zero).
From Rebellion is a unique art book by a legendary artist - The Judge Dredd Art of Jock.
One of the most sought-after and admired artists in the industry today, Jock is a giant of the world of comics – and in May 2025, The Art of Judge Dredd by Jock will celebrate this true 2000 AD original.
From his earliest work as a budding young artist through to his formative work for 2000 AD, this unmissable collection will showcase the artistic evolution of one of the modern masters of comic art.
A highly influential stylist, an in-demand movie concept artist, and also one of the most respected comic artists working in the medium today, this absolute must-have book will illustrate the dawn and evolution of Jock's meteoric rise, offering offers readers a detailed and personal look at his formative work at 2000 AD, and the dark and dystopian world of Judge Dredd.
Collecting sketches, layout, and final unlettered artwork, The Art of Judge Dredd by Jock will illuminate the processes which Jock uses to create his incredible art, alongside a section highlighting his concept art for the 2012 Dredd film. It will also include an extensive new interview with him about his work and career – exclusive to this edition – with Eisner Award-winning writer Michael Molcher.
Jock is of course well known to fans of 2000 AD: in addition to his time illustrating characters including Judge Dredd, Pulp Sci-Fi, Tharg the Mighty and Tor Cyan, he co-created the ex-Judge-turned-criminal Lenny Zero with former 2000 AD editor Andy Diggle. He quickly found international acclaim the Eisner award-nominated The Losers with Andy Diggle for DC Comics, before his critically-acclaimed work on Batman for DC Comics and his Image Comics creator-owned series Wytches, both part of his creative partnership with writer Scott Snyder.
Outside of comics, Jock has enjoyed a successful career as a movie concept artist, working on such films as Star Wars: Theb Last Jedi, Children of Men, Batman Begins, The Losers and the Dredd movie.
Now, for the first time, his work on Judge Dredd will be collected in a breathtakingly detailed hardback edition, measuring 282 × 216 mm (11⅛ × 8½) that will showcase the immense detail which goes into his artistry and design. Running for 172 pages, this is a landmark collection of artwork from a true original in the world of comics.
With this release, Rebellion Publishing is firmly established as the home of artistic innovation in the UK, championing the work of creators from across British comics history – including titans of the industry such as Brian Bolland, Arthur Ranson, Mick McMahon, Steve Dillon, Kevin O'Neill and more. The Art of Judge Dredd by Jock sees Jock take his place alongside some of the true greats of comics history.
The Judge Dredd Art of Jock will be released in May 2025 in hardback edition. Pre-order your copy now from the 2000 AD webstore!
It’s a return in a one-shot from Vault Comics, with the news on the creative team, information and preview pages of Money Shot: Big Bang.
Vault is thrilled to announce that superstar actor, comedian, & writer Patton Oswalt (Minor Threats, Barfly), legendary creator Tim Seeley (Local Man, Hack/Slash), and webcomics sensation Garth Graham (A Polycule of Mars, Astroknots) have partnered for a brand new Money Shot series, Money Shot: Big Bang. Oswalt and Seeley are co-writing the series, with Graham illustrating, Kurt Michael Russell coloring, Crank! lettering, and Tim Daniel designing.
Money Shot: Big Bang will debut with a can’t-miss zero issue in January 2025 that will bring readers up to speed on everything that’s happened in Money Shot so far, while also setting the stage for the hilarious new story from Oswalt, Seeley, & Graham. Then in February 2025, Money Shot Big Bang #1 will hit store shelves, kicking off the brand new storyline just in time for Valentine’s Day!
"Money Shot has always been about finding the right partners,” said Seeley. “Lots of partners. Friends. Strangers. Aliens with a dozen or so sex organs. And even beloved comedians and acclaimed webcomics artists! So, with BIG BANG, I'm positively throbbing to work with my friend and collaborator Patton Oswalt, and burning hot new (to print comics) talent, Garth Graham!"
“By being insanely over-the-top and on the outer rim of offensiveness, Money Shot actually lands squarely in the center of our current, deviant reality,” added Oswalt.
“I came across Money Shot when Kurt Michael Russell was coloring the first couple of volumes and I remember being both delighted and surprised that ‘mainstream comics were getting so cheeky, said Graham. “Everything from a publisher is mainstream when you’re in webcomics, you see. So when Vault reached out, saying that Tim Seeley named me when asked what artist he wanted to work with most, I knew that the only appropriate answer was ‘oh god, yes!’ Money Shot is exactly the kind of funny, sexy comic that lives right in my wheelhouse. A perfect fit.”
Money Shot: Big Bang issue #0 will hit store shelves on January 15th, 2025, to be followed up by Money Shot: Bing Bang issue #1 on February 12th, 2025. The full synopsis for issue #1 can be read below:
You ever see that second Ewoks movie? The one where they suddenly kill off all the characters from the first movie?! And you were like "Mommy! Whyyy oh god whyyy?" Well, this new MONEY SHOT arc is like that with a lot less body hair , somewhat more sex, and the same amount of people yelling for mommy. The XXX-plorers return just in time to witness the rise of an anti-sex death cult! Now it's a race against time and the relay team includes alien strippers! All new artist Garth Graham joins OG writer Tim Seeley, and actual real funny person PATTON OSWALT!
